The Brown County General Hospital Auxiliary was very pleased to present a payment of $40,000 toward its commitment for equipment for Brown County General Hospital. The Auxiliary is presently paying off an Anesthesia machine and a ProVue Machine for the hospital’s Lab. Auxiliary President Lois Holland presented the check to BCGH President Mike Patterson at the October 22nd Auxiliary meeting.
For the past several years, funds have been generated through various events. Special thanks goes to Jim Griswold and the staff at the Georgetown IGA Plus for sponsoring the annual Food Festival. Funds are raised through various endeavors such as Book Fairs, the annual Mother’s Day Bake and Plant Sale, Jewelry sales, the annual Christmas Bazaar, and Pecan sales. The Auxiliary also raises funds through its Gift Shop and vending machines.
The BCGH Auxiliary is currently planning its Holiday Bake Sale and Bazaar which will take place Tuesday, November 20th, in the hospital’s Main Hallway from 8 AM to 4 PM. On Monday and Tuesday, November 26 and 27, the Auxiliary will be sponsoring a $6 Jewelry sale in the hospital’s main hallway. Customers can select from a vast array of watches, bracelets, rings, scarves, sunglasses, belts, earring, purses and seasonal accessories. On Monday, December 10, there will be a one-day Book Fair sponsored by Imagine-Nation Books. Those very popular pecans and nuts will be available soon in the Hospital’s Gift Shop.
