The Brown County General Hospital Foundation allows donors to make endowed gifts for a specific purpose. The Foundation ensures that the funds are properly invested, with the interest from the funds to be used in accordance with the donor’s wishes.

Some of the Foundation’s funds are listed below. Click on any of the links to make a donation.  A donation may also be made to the Foundation and designated to a fund or an equipment item of the donor’s choosing.

• AED Fund – A fund to purchase pads and batteries for AED’s that are installed in many public locations and in all law enforcement patrol cars in Brown County.
• Bob Stephen Memorial Fund – A fund established in memory of Bob Stephen. This assists with scholarships for Georgetown High School graduates who will be attending college with plans on going to medical school.
• Coaches Cancer Fund - This fund will accept contributions to assist local area individuals that incur significant expenses related to cancer treatment.
• Donohoo Fund – The Donohoo Fund was created to perpetuate the memory of John R. Donohoo, M.D., and to continue his good works within the community. Projects are chosen based on community need.
• Endowment Fund – The Endowment Fund is a vital factor in the long term financial health of the hospital. It is hoped that eventually annual earnings can be distributed to support priorities identified by the Hospital.
• Good Neighbor Fund – A fund that assists patients who do not have insurance or other financial means to provide for their healthcare needs.
• Health Careers Scholarship Fund – Financial assistance for students from Brown County for training in three specific health service fields. This year, one new $3,000 scholarship is being issued, and assistance is being provided for seven continuing students.
• Memorial Gift Fund – Gifts are given in memory of loved ones and help the Foundation’s efforts to address the needs of patients and families in our communities.
• Pat’s Closet – A fund established in memory of OB Manager Pat Long that funds needed items (clothing, blankets, etc.,) for infants.
• Veterans Fund – A fund to provide assistance for testing and hospital-related costs for veterans.

BCGH Foundation Events:

• Annual Fall Golf Outing – Proceeds go toward Health Careers Scholarship Fund.
• Celebration of Lights – Proceed go toward Endowment Fund
• Heart of Brown County Gala – Proceeds go toward Good Neighbor Fund
• Trips – Committee specifies the Fund to benefit from each individual trip.
