The Brown County General Hospital Auxiliary recently conducted its Annual Meeting and Installation of Officers. This meeting was also the kick-off of the Annual Membership Drive. Auxiliary Officers for 2009-2010 include Lois Holland, President; Pat Hopkins, First Vice President; Sarah Watson, Second Vice President; Retta Mae Fite, Recording Secretary; Delores Hobson, Corresponding Secretary; Arlene Lang, Treasurer; and Debbie Whisman, Director of Press. Retta Mae Fite was installed at the July 20th meeting, and Arlene Lang will be serving a second term of office. Thanks were extended to Polly Carcon who had served as Recording Secretary. At the annual meeting, the Auxiliary discussed kick-off of the raffle in connection with the Georgetown IGA. Raffle tickets are available at the Georgetown IGA, the BCGH Mary Crawford Gift Shop, and through Auxiliary members. The proceeds will benefit Auxiliary patient care projects at Brown County General Hospital. First prize is a $500 IGA Gift Card donated by the Auxiliary, second prize is a Gas Grill donated by IGA, and third prize is a Basketball Hoop donated by IGA. The Auxiliary appreciates the generosity of Mike Napier/Napier Ground Maintenance for covering the cost of printing the raffle tickets. The drawing will take place Saturday, October 3.
